Not only are we gearing up for the cooler weather this season, but we’re also preparing to celebrate our 30th anniversary on October 31st! We couldn’t be more thrilled to share this milestone with all of you and are so proud of all that we’ve accomplished as we look back on the past 30 years. Did you know that owners, Robert & Laurie, started this company in 1981 operating out of the garage of their home in Bonaire? We’ve definitely come a long way and we can’t help but be thankful for each and every one of our customers! More to come soon on our anniversary festivities!!!

Did You Know?

Of course we hope that maintenance of your heating and air conditioning equipment is as much of a priority to you as it is to us but we also know that sometimes scheduling proper maintenance twice a year can be difficult to remember. We do our best to remind you by sending out our annual reminder postcards and giving you as much information as possible when we come to your home. As we enter into the heating season, we urge you to call us to schedule your heat check. Not only is it imperative that we make sure your heater is safe to operate but did you know…….

The blower assembly in your heater runs year round even in cooling mode? When you call for air conditioning or heat, the blower assembly inside your furnace comes on and helps push the cold or warm air from your system through the vents into the rest of your home. By running your air conditioner and heater essentially year round this creates quite a bit of wear and tear on the parts inside your furnace thus making it even more important to schedule your annual heat check. You always want to be sure that your heater is not only safe to operate but also working within the normal manufacturer’s standards. We’ll be able to tell you if there is undue wear and tear on your blower assembly and can recommend a thorough cleaning if necessary which may help prevent future breakdowns. Just another reason why regular maintenance is so important. Air conditioning and heating equipment is a large investment and we want to be sure it lasts as long as possible for you. Now Scheduling Annual Heat Checks

We have already begun mailing out the reminder postcards as well so be on the lookout for those. We definitely recommend calling in as soon as possible. Don’t wait for that first cold snap! Technical Difficulties

If you are calling in for service this morning (Tuesday, July 26th) you probably are not having very much luck. For unknown reasons, we are experiencing issues with our phone and internet systems. While they are both provided by separate companies, they are tied in together and we have our trusty IT expert working diligently to resolve the problem as I type this. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we move on to ”Plan B” this morning. I would like to encourage you to reach us via this blog by leaving a comment or on our Facebook page. We Support Miss Deaf Texas

We are so pleased to announce that the 2011 Miss Deaf Texas pageant will take place in Houston, Texas on July 23rd. As most of you know, our oldest son Ray is profoundly deaf and has worked within our company since he was 16 years old. Really since before he was 16 if you count him tagging along when he was even younger and sleeping under the desks while we worked. Ray and his wife are actively involved in the pageant’s planning committee. They have donated their time and money. Ray’s wife, Amy, is the treasurer. Ray will be in charge of cooking for the girls for their retreat week before the actual pageant and Sterling Mechanical will be featured in the program. We will all be attending the pageant in July so come out to meet us, support Miss Deaf Texas and the entire deaf community.

Check Your Mail

It’s that time of year again! Time to schedule your annual Air Conditioning Performance Check. We started sending out the first batch of postcards a couple of weeks ago and plan to send out the rest over the next month. Check your mail and call to schedule as soon as you receive your card. For those of you who may not be familiar with our company, we send every one in our customer database a semi-annual reminder to schedule an Air Conditioning Performance Check and a Furnace Performance Safety Check via postcard. Our postcards also include reminders, if necessary, to change filters, media filters, UV lights, cleanings, etc. Contact us if you would like to schedule yours today and we’ll add you to the list as well.
